The Loerie Weekend 2011

Last weekend was the 33rd annual Loerie Awards, the big advertising awards in South Africa. This industry can drink so as can be imagined, the weekend was messy. Saturday night's ceremony started with a bang for me as I won a silver campaign for my student entry. I'm so overwhelmed to have won and proud of my team-mates and myself. 

The night rolled out with more awards for friends and collegues and ended with agency parties. Where there is 

a tab, there will be a mess. A ripped dress and a rescuing were some of the highlights. Sunday night proved even 

more eventful with David Hasselhof as the MC and a big afterparty at Trinity Club in Cape Town. After finding blurred photos and some drunken tweets, the pieces fell together and it seems like it was a good night.

Summer In Seapoint

In the spirit of the beautiful weather yesterday, Abby and I went for a walk on the promenade. We can't afford yoga this month so it was a lovely way to get some exercise. The sunset was phenomenal, pictures can't capture even an ounce of it. The sun was a deep red and the clouds were memorizing. We passed so many people as we sped along on our walk but had to stop for this little dog, Figo. He was so friendly and happy, we very nearly grabbed him and ran. Despite the massive blister I now have from wearing inappropriate shoes, it was so incredibly fun....

Summer Is Coming!

Summer is definitely approaching and I need to get my tan on stat. Especially as Loeries is almost here, I need some colour on my pasty legs. The past few days have been gorgeous so we decided to go tan during our lunch break. There is honestly nothing better than taking an hour away from the office, laying out on a deck chair, sipping on a mixed berry Mojito...
